Clinical Director - Emergency Services

We operate a 384-bed acute care hospital and one of the largest and busiest private emergency trauma centers in Los Angeles County -- treating more than 84,000 children and adults each year. Last year, more than 5,000 babies were born at SFMC's Family Life Center, with 875 babies cared for in our state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Center. We are a Primary Stroke Care Center and STEMI Receiving Center, both of which are approved by the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency.   GENERAL PURPOSE: Under Administrative direction, accesses, plans and evaluates the delivery of patient care with 24-hour responsibility for total department management.  Provides administrative direction to development and evaluation of clinical care personnel, and maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services.  Contributes to nursing and the hospital through support of core values, philosophy, objectives, educational and research efforts.  The position requires providing managerial and administrative supervision to a department that provides care and service to an adolescent through geriatric patient population.   Works collaboratively with all members of the management team and Medical Staff, towards achievement of the Medical Center's goals and objectives.  Provides on-going leadership in the areas of financial accountability, personal development, and quality care/service for assigned areas and functions.   This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Francis Medical Center.  It is expected that the associate holding this position will demonstrate behaviors consistent with our core values and will comply with all required standards governing our commitment to Compassionate Care, Exemplary Service and serving our patients.  The associate holding this position will support St. Francis Medical Center's strategic plan and all essential elements of Quality Improvement and Financial Stewardship.   REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: Bachelor's in nursing or related healthcare field - Master's preferred Current CA RN License Current BLS-C (AHA) Current ACLS preferred Work Experience: Five years recent Emergency Services experience Three to Five years management experiencerequired Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Basic computer knowledge Bilingual (English & Spanish) capability preferred PHYSICAL DEMAND ANALYSIS Must continuously (66% to 100% of workday) Walking on tile floors Stand to perform patient care Twisting and bending of the neck forward and backward Must frequently (34% to 65% of workday) Waist bending while standing Repetitive hand use/keyboarding Wrist rotation/deviation         Must occasionally (11% to 33% of workday) Stooping and squatting to do patient care Make use of bilateral upper extremities and hand in reaching above shoulder level Sitting to document and do patient care  . 10731

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
