LCR Vacuum Technician III Lynwood, CA

Our maintenance yard provides support to all West Region locations with regard to cylinder maintenance and repairs. Our technicians manage high volume workloads in an efficient manner, but most importantly while ensuring safety. We work in a team environment to get the job done and done right!
Essential Job Functions:
Perform Liquid Cylinder (LCR) repairs and annular vacuum checks
Fill liquid cylinders for and perform NER tests
Replace / Repair wheels and handles
Scrape off old labels and polish cylinders
Apply new required labeling
Prepare cylinders for shipment including loading and securing onto metal and wood pallets
Safely operate forklift to load / unload delivery trucks and transfer to different areas within the facility
Complete all related documentation and paperwork
Report anyequipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor
Ensure anyaccident or injury is promptly reported
Other dutiesas assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meetdeadlines.
Must be able to work flexible hours to meet customer needs andmanagement expectations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and bedetailed-oriented with good organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such assafety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, MSDS, and proceduremanuals
Possess basic mathematic and written skills
Ability to work SAFELY at all times
Ability to work in a team environment
Self-motivated
Punctual
Education, Experiences, Certificates/Licensesand/or Registrations:
Must have a High School Diploma or the equivalent
Prior liquid cylinder (LCR) vacuum repair experience preferred
Working knowledge of vacuum pump systems operation and general maintenance (i.e., oil / filter changes, leak testing, minor repairs, etc.)
TIG welding on stainless steel; Welding Certificate is a plus
General use of hand and basic shop tools required
Being "handy" with general shop maintenance tasks and repairs is a plus
Forklift certification required.
WorkEnvironment and Safety Equipment Required:
Whileperforming the duties of this Job, the associate is regularly required to sitfor long periods and stand to perform work. The associate is required to reach with hands and arms, smell, talk orhear. The associate must be able tolift, push, pull or move up to fifty (50) pounds or more with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by thisjob include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjustfocus. The noise level in the workenvironment is usually moderate to noisy and the associate may be exposed toextreme weather. Reasonableaccommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to performthe essential functions.
Hearingprotection must be worn in designated areas.
Fullyenclosed shoes or safety shoes must we worn in designated areas.
Safetyglasses must be worn in designated areas.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
