Operations Manager

Job Description




The Operations Manager will lead and drive all aspects of the Lynwood facility's processing of cannabis into safe, high quality, and effective cannabis products and successfully scale manufacturing. This position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing including production, quality control, inventory, shipping and receiving, facility maintenance, and compliance with health and safety and environmental standards.

The successful candidate will be a strong and agile leader who has a proven track record of effectively building teams, operations and structure in a large-scale manufacturing and research laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will be drawn to the fluidity and pace of a high-growth organization and will possess the communication skills to effectively serve as a bridge between manufacturing and laboratory operations and leadership at the executive level.


Lead and drive an effective and efficient startup of all operations at the Lynwood facility

Oversee the entire production process, from propagation and/or extraction to packaged product

Plan and monitor day-to-day operations to ensure smooth progress of production

Collaborate with Executive team to make operational decisions and set strategic goals

Supplies Management: maintain inventory, plan, and monitor consumption rates

Plan and manage production schedules that effectively leverage capacity, labor, and materials to meet volume, cost, and quality goals.

Meet budgetary goals for production.

Optimize and scale manufacturing processes and methods to reduce costs and achieve the highest levels of efficiency

Develop and implement SOP's for compliance with quality, health, safety, and regulatory requirements

Calibrate and audit all quality systems, documentation, results and testing to maintain consistency and compliance with all local, state and/or federal requirements.

Proactively monitor industry trends and new developments to develop programs, policies and procedures for compliance with product safety, quality, and analytics

Drive efficiencies, improvements into all processes as directed by the COO


Commercial cannabis production experience is required or food, or pharmaceutical environment

Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, or Operations

5+ years' management experience in manufacturing and production

Proficient in both Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Excellent organizational abilities and a high attention to detail

Experience in scaling and automating manufacturing operations

Fluency in Spanish is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
