The Judge Group is seeking a degreed Regional Project Manager for a large retail chain in southern California. The Project Manager will execute store construction projects (i.e. new/expansion remodels, wall remodel and fuel projects) under the guidance of the Senior Construction Manager, Assistant Construction Manager, or Construction Manager. He or she will complete all projects at or below budget and on or before deadlines. The qualified individual will be the Company's representative on construction store projects. He or she will provide accurate and timely information to contractors and vendors. The Project Manager will serve as a role model and demonstrate the company's core values.
Responsibilities:
Plans, organizes and manages resources for a cost effective, quality project
Prepares timely requisitions for major equipment, fixtures and supply items
Receives proposals, reviews architectural documents and awards contracts suitable for bidding installation of remodels by contractors
Ensures contractors perform in accordance with plans and specifications
Provides documentation and records throughout the construction process
Ensures lowest company cost for change orders
Determines appropriate authorizations exist before incurring commitments for all Company expenditures
Anticipates opportunities and occurrences that could impact the construction schedule
Prepares and presents return on Investment (ROI) on Capital Investments
Coordinates remodel activities in order to minimize EBITDA and sales loss
Exercises independent judgment on moderately complex tasks
Relies on pre-established guidelines to perform the job functions that require support for complex tasks
Utilizes experience and judgment to plan and execute a goals to perform a variety of tasks ranging in difficulty
Coordinates and verified proper documentation and compliance of construction contracts, SWPPP,
OSHA regulations, and capital management practices throughout all projects
Trains other department members on tasks
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Construction Management or Architecture
Ability to read and understand construction documents
Ability to lead retail management and contractors through projects ranging in difficulty
Ability to organize and budget orders on a project
1-6 years of construction management experience or related area
Experience with construction project management tools and equipment purchasing software
Strong time management and organization skills
Proven conflict management, supervisory/leadership, and negotiation skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external parties
Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to travel independently
Knowledge of e-Pro and Sitefolio highly preferred
Capital projects experience regarding the following is highly preferred: Expansion Remodel, Interior Remodel or Fuel
Compensation: $75,000-$95,000 plus bonus
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
